Delete Your Account

You can delete your GunCollector account and everything in it at any time, from the mobile app, the web app, or by email. Deleting your account removes it on every device.

In the iPhone or Android app

Open the More tab, scroll to Danger zone, tap Delete account, and confirm. You need a signal: the app will not queue a deletion to send later.

On the web

Sign in at app.guncollector.app, open Settings, choose Delete account, type delete to confirm, and press the button.

By email

If you can't sign in, email support@guncollector.app from the email address on the account and ask us to delete it. We'll confirm the request came from you, then delete the account and reply once it's done.

What gets deleted

Everything tied to your account: your profile and sign-in, firearms, ammunition, NFA items, accessories, range trips, target and group measurements, DOPE cards, maintenance records, notes, and every photo and document you uploaded. Push notification tokens registered by the mobile apps are deleted with the account.

When it's gone

Your account, records, and files are deleted immediately. Copies can remain for a short time in encrypted backups kept to recover from system failures: database backups expire within 7 days, and deleted files within 30 days. Nothing is restored from those backups into a deleted account. Crash reports (which never contain your account or inventory details) expire on our crash-reporting provider's normal schedule.

Want a copy first? Export your data from Settings in the web app before you delete. Deletion can't be undone.
